Christmas 2008

Christmas has come and gone already! Where did the time go? We did a little decorating at home, Paul loves putting up the tree and putting lights up outside. Christmas Eve at mom and dad's was so fun - Colby was so fun to watch! Chase slept through most of it. We spent Christmas Day at the in-laws. Only 12 months until we get to do it all again!

Chase's Baptism

Chase Thomas Dohrn was baptized on November 9th. Eric and Amy and Perry's brother Wesley were his sponsors. Carrie had him in the cutest little cream-colored sleeper! He was so good through church! Colby was really good too considering how long he had to sit and be quiet. Pretzel snacks from Aunt Marcy helped a little I think. It was a fun afternoon gathering for dinner as well at Carrie and Perry's - a great opportunity to catch up with family!

What a Sweetie!

My birthday was on Monday - it was a gorgeous day! I brought caramel apples for everyone in the office which were a hit!

Paul came to visit me and brought me a gorgeous bouquet of fuschia roses and a chocolate pearl necklace with matching earrings. I absolutely love it! He has great taste!

Paul has the day off today, so I hope he is getting a few things done around the house. However, I have a feeling he is working on his fairboard report for tonight - which is OK, he needs to get that done too!

My Oopps!

So my Wednesday was not so great...

Day started out well, I even got to work early! Around 9:30am, Anne came into my office as asked,"What is all over your trailblazer?!?" I hadn't noticed anything, so asked her what she meant. She was like, "Come over here to the window!" That was when I saw it... the bright yellow paint splattered all over the side of my car! I had passed a truck earlier that morning that was spraying new lines on the road... and now it was all over my car! I got right on the phone to the Hwy Dept, but they just transferred me to MNDOT. No one there had any ideas on how to get it off! Next I called NAPA and the guy there said to bring it by and he would see what he could do. None of the 4 products he tried worked. So I called Grover's Auto in Zumbrota. They told me to bring it in right away and they would give it a shot. So I left work and drove up to Zumbrota, where they were able to get it ALL OFF! Thank you Grovers!!! Lesson learned!

Newbie

Ok, So I'm new to this blogging thing. I used to write in a journal everyday during my year as an FFA State Officer and also a little during college and my first year teaching. So maybe I can get back into it... we'll see how this goes!

I want to use this to share my thoughts and happenings... maybe even eventually to share the tales of babies we will have someday. But for now it is just Paul, me, and the girls!
